An expressive landscape by UK artist Tim Willcox, reflecting on nature’s final refuge against greed, profit, and the loss of green space in modern life.
I painted The Last Sacred Acre as a kind of plea. Everywhere I look, the green disappears - buried beneath concrete, glass, and ambition. This expressionist landscape began as an imagined patch of earth that refuses to die. Layer by layer, I built a world both wounded and alive, where one final acre stands defiant against development and greed. It’s a small prayer for what’s left - a reminder that even in the noise, nature still resists.
