Fire. Concrete. Injustice (2025)

A bold abstract expressionist painting by UK artist Tim Willcox, confronting decay, anger, and bureaucracy through fiery texture and layered colour.

This one evolved very quickly indeed. Fire. Concrete. Injustice. is my response to the slow decay of systems meant to protect us. Bold reds, oranges, and yellows collide with cooler blues — a clash between fury and control. Text fragments surface through the paint, hinting at bureaucracy in decline. For me, this abstract expressionist work burns with frustration but also with energy - a protest built from texture and light.
